Welcome to RiverRail – a biannual model railroad operations weekend. The RiverRail group was founded in 1997 as a round robin group to operate layouts in a prototypical fashion. This interest grew to the point where operators from outside the La Crosse, Wisconsin area were attending our sessions. In 2001 we held our first operations weekend with guests joining us from throughout the country. We currently have seven participating layouts with more in development. As there are only a limited number of operating positions available, attendance is by invitation only.
This site will be the primary guide to the event. The links at right will take you to the event schedule, motel accommodations, and most importantly profiles of the participating layouts. These profiles detail the model railroad’s specifications and include a link to a photo gallery for each layout.
We will once again offer an event shirt and a separate page includes all of the details for pre-ordering.
