RiverRail 2026

Cedar River Valley New in 2026!An S Scale Railroad by Shane Lambert

Cedar River Valley

The Cedar River Valley layout features a 21.5 foot long Grocery Warehouse in S Scale on a shelf style switching layout built in my Sunroom. The shelf layout features a three track yard and a small ice platform and can be extended using a number of Free-mo style modules. For 2026, the layout will be extended to feature a module based on the Chicago and North Western's La Crosse, WI yard as well as the Heileman Brewing Company.

The track is owned by the Cedar River valley railroad but is served by the Chicago and North Western, Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, Milwaukee Road, Rock Island and Great Northern. You can expect to see at least two passenger trains per day. You can see more on the Cedar River Valley Railroad Facebook page.
